community choir

I've joined a community choir here in Panaca. It is directed by Klark Black (I call him Sparky. lol) who recently moved back. He was our band/choir teacher for a few years before he moved to Vegas. He has sung with Andrea Bocelli and he is AMAZING. We preform Dec 22, 23, I think.

Life update

Life is crazy isn't it? Broadway is over for me this season. It went well and had great reviews. I took the semester off from school because of broadway but will be starting back up in January with a math class (blah!). I am only 3 classes away from my associates. Yay! Then onto the fun classes. I am getting certified to teach Zumba in November and then hopefully soon after will teach here in Panaca. It is a great workout and lots of fun. Ken is nearing the end of volleyball season. He just did a century bike race (which is 100 miles) and enjoyed it. Tyler is the HS mascot right now and Ken heard the cheerleaders say the other day that he is the best mascot they can remember having. He is really enjoying it. Tyler is planning to tryout for the basketball team in a couple of weeks. He is naturally good at it so I hope he makes it and enjoys it. Ty had his first date a few weeks ago. That was exciting for him and the family. He is still working on getting his licence...scary!!
Cody just finished football season with the junior high. He also got all A's on his report card. He will be playing basketball here in a couple of weeks.
Not much new with Mason...he got a new bike for his birthday and loves it! He's just plugging away with school and scouts.
Alexa started dance back up. She is such a beautiful dancer. She is doing well in school. She called up a neighbor lady a couple of weeks ago and asked her if she'd teach her to ride a horse (she owed us a favor) and so Alexa had a lesson and hopefully more to come with that.
Life is good. Crazy but good.
For Halloween Lexa was Medusa (during school) and a zombie (at night). Mason wore a giant quarter on his back...thus a quarterback. Cody was a sumo wrestler. Ty was a scary joker. Steff was Medusa and Ken Percius (SP).

Zion trip

Our computer is finally fixed so here are our pictures from our Zion canyon trip. We had lots of fun and there is never enough time to spend there. Ken, Cody and Mason hiked Angels landing while Steff and Alexa did weeping rock. Can I just say how much I love weeping rock?! Alexa took a picture of me sitting near the waterfall. At the end of our Riverwalk hike, to our suprise, were tons of rock carrens. It was really cool to see. They were everywhere! The kids (and Ken) had fun making them too. Ken and the boys decided to see if they could jump this (bottom) river. I got Ken mid jump. lol.

Dance recital 2011

This is Alexa's dance recital. This year she was in two dance classes. She is such a graceful dancer. Her dance teacher thinks she has potential to be a fantastic dancer. I have also started teaching her ballet.

Lexa graduates Kindergarten

Oh my baby has graduated from Kindergarten! It was so precious. How will I stand having her in school all day next year?! A special thanks to Mrs. Harding! Lexa has loved her teacher. It's it fantastic to have a teacher you adore?

Sickness & injury...

Ok, its been a rough couple of weeks. Tyler broke his arm. He tripped at track and fell then went our on his four wheeler and when he landed a jump, his hand slipped off the grip and he hurt the same arm again. We went to the clinic the next morn for x ray and cast. Alexa is also wearing a finger splint. She was bugging Cody and he got mad and (not sure of the real story since I've heard two different ones) anyway...figured there was nothing the dr's would do differently than splint it so, I just bought a splint and slipped it on. She's been much happier since. Mason has some serious tonsil problems! He has always been a bad snore-er. So he has had a fever and been miserable. I need to get him to a peditrician to see what they say about getting his tonsils out :( Alexa and Cody have been coughing up a storm. Alexa's eventually passed but Cody's hung on. He just kept getting worse, fatigued, not eating...I finally went and got the O2 sat machine off the ambulance and his O2 was in the 80's! Bed and Z pack for him. Almost took him to ER. Cody also broke out in hives (ALL OVER HIS BODY!) during the middle of his broncitis...apparently, he has an alergy to the wood chips we put in the flowers beds. (Sigh!) Everyone is doing better now...well except me...I feel a little tense in the neck...Love to all. Pray for us...me.
