Yesterday when I was out walking, I came across some baby lambs. I instantly veired off to get a closer look. It actually brought tears to my eyes. Don't know why. So today I took the kids over and we petted, chased and cooed over them. Absolutely adorable!
Last night for family night we went to the racquetball court and played wall ball and scooter basketball. It was lots of fun. Me and Ken were complaining about our aching legs tho. We are getting old. :)
Last weekend while in St. George, we went to Samari 21. I enjoy going there and usually enjoy the food. The entertainment is fun. Lexa about blew a gasket when the chef first lit the grill on fire. Oops! I forgot she was only little when we went there last. Poor girl!
This year on Christmas Eve, Bleaks came over and we acted out the nativity scene. Tyler read for us, Alexa was Mary, Cody was Joseph, Irish was the angel, Mason was a Shepard . Emma is a sheep and I played the wise man but Tyler jumped in for the picture. Oh yea, Mojo is the donkey. LOL.
So....We got a bunch of snow this week. Yay! We have had lots of fun playing in it. We took the 4wheelers over to Bleaks field and pulled an old truck bed liner as a sled. It was super fun!
Over Thanksgiving, we showed my newest brother and family, one of my favorite places on earth. The Dixie red hills. Since I was a kid, I have been coming here to what we called, "the narrows". This time I got to do some climbing. This was an unplanned climb so I am in tight jeans and barefoot...not the best climbing attire. Nonetheless, it was great. We hiked around and Tyler even gave me a piggy back. I can't believe my widdle baby tywer is strong enough to hold me!
Here is my latest project. I am making a quilt out of recycled materials. There are basically three parts to the quilt...one is old jeans that my kids have worn out, second is scraps from different sewing projects I've made over the years (for example: a quilt Ken and I made tyler, costumes I've made for the kids) and third, drawings and hand prints from when they were all small. It will be a treasure! I am taking an Enviromental science class and we've talked a lot about waste and recycling and I've been meaning to do this for years so it is a great Final for the class :)
